This Activity = Better Health and Increased Convenience
It's very nice to build your own food garden, and not have to run to the store to get a vegetable for dinner or herbs for additional flavor or garnish.
This is our herb/hot pepper garden. We also planted broccoli, collard greens, and spinach in our previous house.
I have to give my husband all the credit for planting and maintaining it (except for the herb air pod he has in his office and the indoor plants I help take care of). His cousin and my mother give us gardening tips, as well.
Consider starting a garden in your house. You can plant only herbs if you'd like to. Especially if you have to control salt intake, herbs are great for seasoning the food without adding salt.
If you're interested in indoor gardening, these are indoor pods (called air pods). It's from the brand Aerogarden. This is the basil pod that grew, the other pods are empty because we planted the other herbs outside and will grow different herbs in these pods.
Take a look, and contemplate building your garden, indoor or outdoor. I planted a seed in your mind. Even if you water that seed and decide to plant a garden, tend to it, and harvest it in the upcoming years, the seed is planted.
It’s Garden Month, and National Herbs and Spices Day.
